You can permanently delete your Home List account and its associated personal data at any time, directly in the app:
If you can't access the app, email support@homelist.app from the address on your account and we'll delete it for you.
What is deleted: your account and profile (name, email, user ID), your membership in any household, and the content you created that isn't shared household data. This happens right away with no additional retention period; backups are purged on our provider's normal rotation (within 30 days).
What is kept: shared household content you contributed (for example a shopping list, chore, or store that other members still use) remains with that household so it keeps working for the other members — it is no longer linked to you. If you are the last member of a household, that household and its content are removed with your account. Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription — cancel that separately in your Google Play (or Apple ID) account settings.
How do location reminders work?
Add a store, give it a location (tap "I'm here now" while you're there, or type its address), and make
sure a list linked to that store has unchecked items. When you approach the store, Home List reminds you.
It uses low-power geofences, not constant GPS tracking. On the web version, the "Simulate driving by"
button previews how a reminder looks.
Why am I not getting reminders?
Check that (1) you granted location permission set to "Allow all the time," (2) notifications are enabled
for Home List, (3) the store has a location pinned and its alerts are on, and (4) the linked list has
unchecked items. Reminders fire when you cross into a store's radius, and your device may take a
minute or two to notice.
How do I invite my household?
Open the Household tab and share your invite code. Others create an account, choose "Join an existing
household," and enter the code.
How does the subscription work?
Home List Premium is $2.99/month or $24.99/year with a 7-day free trial. One subscription covers your whole
household — when any member subscribes, everyone gets full access. Manage or cancel your subscription in
your Apple ID or Google Play account settings.
How do I delete my account?
Tap your profile avatar (top-right) and tap "Delete account." See
Delete your account and data above for the full steps and details. It does
not cancel an active subscription — cancel that in your App Store or Google Play settings.
