Home List vs Google Keep

For years, a shared Keep checklist with a “remind me at the shop” reminder was the do-it-yourself grocery app. Google has taken the reminder half away.

What changed in Google Keep

Google’s own help page says Keep reminders moved to Google Tasks in the second half of 2025, and that “You can no longer create or get location-based reminders.” Existing ones survive only as text in the task description. So a Keep grocery list can still be shared, but it can no longer tell you that you are at the shop.
