Home List vs Listonic

Listonic has a lot of features and a lot of users. Two things set Home List apart: it never shows ads, and it knows when you are at the shop.

Where Listonic is strong

Real-time sharing, voice input, an AI assistant for meal plans and recipes, budget tracking and offline use are all on its App Store listing. Home List has no voice input and no meal planning, and it will not pretend to.

“Not listed” in the table means we did not find it on Listonic’s own App Store listing, checked 26 September 2026 — not that it can never exist. If that changes, tell us at support@homelist.app and this page gets fixed.

Ads

Listonic’s App Store listing carries Apple’s “Contains Advertising” label, and it sells several Premium plans. Home List shows no ads to anyone, free or paid, and never will — it is paid for by an optional Premium, not by your attention.

The alert at the door

Pin the shops you use. Arrive with items unchecked and Home List tells you, with the app closed. It can tell the household too, so the person at home adds what they forgot before you reach the till. Store-arrival reminders are not on Listonic’s App Store listing.

A budget built from the receipt

Listonic lists budget tracking. Home List gets its numbers from the receipt: photograph it on the way out and the line items are read and matched to the list, so the figures are what you actually paid, trip by trip.

Chores that rotate, a shared calendar that subscribes into Google, Apple or Outlook, and multiple lists come with it. No ads on any tier, ever. Premium ($2.99 a month, $24.99 a year) adds arrival reminders at every shop rather than one, spending analytics — monthly trends, shop-by-shop breakdowns and export — and restock predictions, and unlocks for the whole household at once. Everything else on this page is free.
